Mirror's Edge Catalyst is coming very soon, with a release planned for the end of the May, but you might not have to wait that long.
We've just heard that the closed beta for the game will be running from the 22nd to the 26th of April. It will show off a bunch of story missions which will give you a glimpse at Faith's new world and also some side missions. EA and DICE are keen to let players explore the new Social Play options as well, which are explained in this video.
This seems like the perfect way to add more of a multiplayer element to the game. These 'dashes' will be quick runs through parts of levels which are all about speed, tasking players with finding the quickest route through the city, accompanied by echos of other runners.
It all sounds very cool, and this is in addition to a full main story and a more open world to explore for this new game, which operates as a reboot and also a bit of a prequel to the 2008 original game. And it's finally almost ready for release, which is hugely exciting for fans.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst is on consoles and PC from the 24th of May, 2016.
