As we knew previously, more from The Walking Dead is on the way, but fans may not have to wait until Season Two to experience more from the universe. Writer Gary Whitta teased this in an interview on IGN’s Up at Noon. He explained that Season Two is coming, but it will be a while before it gets released.

However, he added, “Knowing that it’s a way off, and knowing that people are hungry for more walking Dead…there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before Season Two. We may have a little something extra for you between Season One and Two.” Whitta then added that something is in production “that will make the wait for season two slightly less agonizing.”

Telltale’s The Walking Dead was an excellent piece of game design, storytelling and it proved that episodic content can work, especially when released episodically (Half-Life – we’re looking in your direction). It also showcased that meaningful relationships can be developed over the course of a game. The Walking Dead made it into Click’s Top 10 Games of 2012, and with good reason.
