Instead of challenging your fellow commuters to an over-the-top brawl, with the possible consequence of someone having their face melted off, you will be able to break out Mortal Kombat X on your mobile device from April.
NetherRealm Studios has developed a tailored Mortal Kombat X experience for mobile devices. The free-to-play mobile game will feature a hybrid of fighting, card collecting, multiplayer team combat and trademark features of the main game, including many of its characters and its gruesome fatalities and x-ray moves. From the trailer below, it looks less likely that you’ll fluff an input for a fatality.
Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon, said that this title will allow even more players to enjoy Mortal Kombat. He added, “What’s more, we’ve expanded the unique cross-connectivity feature that links the mobile and console versions of Mortal Kombat X, delivering unique rewards to all players for simply playing the mobile game.”
The console and PC versions of Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th. Once launched, players will be able to unlock content for the main game on their mobile device and vice-versa.
