Microsoft and development studio Klab Games have just announced that they're working on a brand new addition to the Age of Empires series, although it might not be the announcement that you'd been hoping for. The collaborative effort will be a free-to-play mobile title called Age of Empires: World Domination, and it'll be launching on mobile devices(Android and Windows devices)later this year .
The game will let players choose from a number of different armies, including Celts, Huns, Franks and Vikings, with an all new battle system specifically created to make use of the mobile format's touch-driven interface.
Obviously when any series as celebrated as Age of Empires makes the move from fullyfledged PC to mobile device, there's going to be some concern from series stalwarts, especially when it's a free-to-play title, but there's been little indication as to how exactly the whole thing is going to work.
