Modern Warfare 3 Elite Premium members are set to get four pieces of additional content next week, but the releases on Xbox and PlayStation 3 will differ.
Xbox 360 Premium members will get access to three new multiplayer maps (
Decommission,
Offshore and, the Modern Warfare 2 favourite,
Terminal) and a new Special Ops mission called
Vertigo on July 17th. PlayStation 3 owners on the other hand will get three Face Off maps (
Vortex,
U-Turn and
Intersection) along with a new Special Ops mission (
Arctic Recon).
Non-Elite Premium members on Xbox 360 will also get access to Terminal as a multiplayer map for free, but will have to keep themselves occupied for a day as it won’t be released until July 18th. No confirmation has been given as to when PlayStation 3 and PC players can expect the game. Activision’s exclusivity deal with Microsoft lasts for 30 days, so we could see it around August 17th.
