A variety of Dark Souls III screenshots have been released, showcasing the game’s multiplayer elements as well as some of the magical abilities that players will have to hand.
Dark Souls fans will be familiar with the multiplayer components show off. Players will catch glimpses of other online players facing the same challenges, which may give them hints as to where to go next; bloodstains will show where a player died, and you’ll be able to see just how they died by touching them; players will be able to enter each other’s game sessions, either cooperatively or to hunt them down; and players will be able to leave messages for others.
You can help or hinder players with your messages, and players will be able to rate messages fair or foul. Whenever your message is rated, your health is half-restored and your message will linger for longer in the world.
Dark Souls III will be released in Europe and North America sometime in April 2016. Bandai Namco confirmed that it will be released in Japan on March 24th.
