Sucker Punch Productions has announced some of the features it'll be adding to inFAMOUS: Second Son in a forthcoming patch, most of which are focused on improving the overall user experience by getting rid of some glitches and bugs that hampered graphical performance in places.
In a post on the official PlayStation blog, the three major changes have been outlined, along with an explanation for how they'll improve things:
Once you beat the game, a new entry will appear on the options menu to allow you to select the time of day! A very popular request indeed, and one we’re excited to enable for you all.
Especially for those amazingly talented screenshot taking folks, we’re including an option to let you turn the HUD on and off.
Cap at 30FPS
Internally we prefer the unlocked frame rate, but we recognize that some players find it distressing. So we’ll provide a way to ensure the game is not bumping up over 30FPS, if that’s how you prefer to play.
The patch is expected to go live in the coming weeks, and should hopefully address the concerns of some who were struggling with the occasionally jumpy frame rate during more intense sections of the game (although we must say we encountered very few such issues when we played through last month).
