Nintendo is making April virtual console month
Nintendo is planning to make April a month to remember for virtual console fans, including classics like Super Mario Bros. 3, Advanced Wars and Metroid Fusion.

Nintendo is planning on making an effort to expand their virtual console selection in April, releasing a one of their classics to the Wii U virtual console each week. Starting on April 3rd and running through to April 24th, selected Game Boy Advance titles will become available in the Wii U's eShop each week, for a total of nine games over the course of the month. As well as supporting off-TV play and Miiverse functionality, each of these virtual console titles feature Restore Points that automatically save progress as you play. One of Nintendo's most popular classics, Super Mario Bros. 3, will be available for both the Wii U and the 3DS. The release schedule for April goes as follows:

April 3rd - Advanced Wars (Wii U), Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Wii U), Metroid Fusion (Wii U)

April 10th - Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (Wii U), WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames$! (Wii U)

April 17th - Super Mario Bros. 3 (Wii U, 3DS), F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (Wii U), Golden Sun (Wii U)

April 24th - Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advanced 3 (Wii U)
