Nintendo won't show off NX at E3 – release date set for March 2017

Nintendo has revealed that it won’t be unveiling the new NX console at E3 this year, as had been previously expected.

The console manufacturer announced that the NX console will be released in March 2017 globally. As a result, it’s missing the Holiday window that many people were hoping for.

Nintendo’s E3 showing could look a little sparse as a result. Zelda Wii U looks set to be its only playable game, though its release has also been pushed back until next year. It will be released on the NX as well as the Wii U.

"For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed "NX" with a brand-new concept,” the company revealed. The mention of a “brand-new concept” is intriguing, but we’ll have to wait to hear what that means.
