No Man's Sky exploit will have you speeding towards centre of universe

No Man’s Sky players have discovered an exploit, which significantly speeds up your progress.

The exploit allows players to easily duplicate items in their inventory. In a game about collecting pieces and materials in order to upgrade your ship and get you to the centre of the universe, you can see how this would make an otherwise laborious task a breeze.

If you die in your ship, the game offers you the opportunity to return to the point of your demise to reclaim your inventory. However, if you load an earlier save, you can still reclaim this inventory from the grave marker, but your inventory never actually lost these items.

This means that provided you have the inventory space, you can easily replicate precious materials and items.

We expect this to be patched out fairly swiftly, though Hello Games has a few high priority issues to deal with now, as we outlined previously.
