So The Order 1886 is coming out next week and for some reason, people are absolutely obessing about the games length.
As a AAA title which only features a single-player element, a certain amount of curiousity isn't surprising but everyone is talking about it in relation to The Order. Some are saying a playthrough on hard could take close to 20 hours, while others are suggesting the whole thing can be completed with the Platinum achievement in an afternoon.
The Swedish version of Gamereactor has the latest, which suggest that The Order 1886 could be finished, top to bottom, in just three hours. For a game that's been in development for years and was delayed from 2014 for additional work, that's an incredibly short span of time. The same article goes on to suggest that this is the reason review copies of the game are being sent out so late.
This can only be treated as a rumour for the time being and the way people play games varies very much - I know when I'm trying to get a review together I tend to rush through certain elements, and this would especially be the case for a story-driven title like The Order where seeing every aspect of the narrative would be important for a review. But it still sounds like a very slight experience.
The Order 1886 is exclusively on PS4 on the 20th of February 2015.
