The free-to-play
Ghost Recon Online has entered Open Beta and the game is now available for everyone to enjoy. All you need is a free
UPlay account, the
game client, and then you can begin playing. A
beginner’s guide is available for anyone who is new to the game. The team is looking to get as much feedback as possible on its
dedicated forum.
The first weekly mission has also begun. The goal this week is called Eagle Eye and challenges players to maintain an accuracy of 15% over 5 matches. Successfully doing so earns players a rare Mark IV armor insert. This mission started on August 6th and will finish on August 12th. Players can check their average accuracy in-game on the their profile under the Killer Instinct tab. Players can also check up on their event progress from the dedicated tab.
Ubisoft is promising a range of missions and goals each week with more information available from the
Event page. These missions are designed to challenge players and could teach players some skills or practices. For example, the Eagle Eye challenge encourages players “to make smarter decisions when using their weapons,” as more bullets is not always better. All players are automatically registered for these weekly missions and rewards are automatically added to a player’s inventory upon completion of the challenge.
