Over 4.6 million people played Destiny's beta
Activision today announced that over 4.6 million players tried out Destiny over the course of the beta.

The beta launched on PlayStation systems on July 17th with Xbox players getting in on the action on July 23rd. Initially, the beta was only open to those who pre-ordered the game, but it was later opened to everybody.

Bungie Chief Operating Officer Pete Parsons was delighted with how the beta went. He said, “We surpassed even our own goals and the feedback was invaluable. We cannot thank the community enough, the response was humbling and in the weeks ahead we’ll be working hard to ensure that Destiny lives up to the expectations at launch.”

Destiny will launch on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will be released on September 9th.

Did you get to take part in the Destiny beta? And what did you think? Shall you be spending more time with Destiny when it launches later this year?
