Pokémon X and
Pokémon Y will be the next two instalments in the successful Pokémon series as announced by Nintendo today. The two games will feature fully rendered 3D graphics and a variety of new Pokémon to find, battle, and capture along the way. The trio of potential starting Pokémon were also showcased: Chespin, a Grass-type rodent; Fennekin, a fox-like Fire-type; and Froakie, a froggish Water-type. Meanwhile, the trailer also provided a look at the two legendary creatures that will feature on the box art. Few other details were released, but fan reaction on social media sites has been very positive so far.
Nintendo used today’s special Pokémon Direct presentation to announce the two games, with Pikachu introducing the next generation of Pokémon games. The two titles will be released on Nintendo 3DS worldwide in October, 2013. To keep up to date with future developments, visit the dedicated
