There's a new PlayStation 4 on the horizon, and it's appropriately being called the Neo.
Sony has confirmed the existence of the new machine in the past but many were surprised when it wasn't shown off at E3 2016. It seemed pretty likely then that Sony was holding off to announce it officially at another event, rather than in competition with so many other brands.
And that seems to be coming to pass, with the latest rumour suggesting that the console could be getting its first public airing in September 2016. Given that the Tokyo Game Show kicks off on the 15th of September, it's a pretty safe bet that we're going to be hearing a lot more about the new machine.
We're also hearing that there could be yet another model being revealed in the form of a PS4 Slim. The existing console is already fairly small so we're not sure this is needed for the market right now, especially as the PS4 is still going to exist alongside the Neo. There is such a thing as too many models.
Expect more official news on the PS4 Neo soon.
