In case you didn't know, Resident Evil 2 is coming back. The horror classic, which originally released on the PlayStation in 1998, will be getting a release on new gen consoles, and it's going to be a full remake according to sources in the know.
The game was famously set in Raccoon City, with a much wider world to survive in that the first title. The whole area has been taken over by zombies and our two heroes - Leon and Claire - must battle to not die and say really silly things in awkward voices.
Resi 2 has released on plenty of other platforms since, including GameCube, PS3, Dreamcast and N64 and now its coming back yet again. Like some kind of undead thing. While the game was initially confirmed to be a remake back in August, recent reports have been suggesting that it could be more like a remaster. Capcom wants to clear the air on this issue.
So this is definitely an all new version of the game, similar to the work that is being done on a remake of Resident Evil which is coming out in 2016. Right now we don't know when Resi 2 will arrive but expect more definitive news in the new year.
