Console players who want to extend the lifespan of Resident Evil 6
will be able to do so in March with the addition of a new online multiplayer mode known as Siege. This game mode is suitable for between two and six players and sees two teams vying for the fate of a lone AI-controlled rookie BSAA agent in trouble. One side must keep him alive, while the other side take control of enemy creatures and try to kill him. Siege will be released in March for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, priced at 320MSP or $3.99 (€3.99). PlayStation 3 players will also be able to pick up the Survivors, Predator and Onslaught game modes for $3.99 (€3.99) a piece in February.
Meanwhile, Resident Evil 6 will make its way to PC on March 22nd and will contain an exclusive game mode called The Mercenaries: No Mercy. This is essentially an extension of The Mercenaries game mode, and features more enemies on screen along with the opportunity for players to rack up higher combo scores. The game will include features that were added to console versions after release, such as the option to play Ada Wong’s campaign at the start, the ability to play this campaign with a co-op partner, and the ability to tune the in-game camera. PC players will be given the option to purchase the Survivors, Predator, Onslaught and Siege game modes shortly after its release on March 22nd.
