It's rare alterations to a game’s release date give cause for jubilation. But with the recent revelation that the inhumanly anticipated Resident Evil 6 will mutate its way onto consoles a whopping seven weeks earlier than previously confirmed has us tap-dancing atop our workstations with ecstasy.

No, not literally.

Leaked from Capcom’s annual Captivate event, this fresh trailer reveals plot details galore, including the ominous C Virus, the origins of the formerly unidentified mysterious third protagonist and a high kicking one on one with series heroes Chris and Leon.

Capcom recently admitted that they’re purposefully orientating the franchise down the action heavy route. And considering the amount of explosions, J’avo, gunfights and Bio-organic weapons in the trailer, it seems Capcom weren’t bluffing!

Let’s just hope Resident Evil 6 take its cues from balanced Fan Favourite Resi 4 rather than its brawny mediocre successor.
