It looks as though Swedish developer Housemarque is working on something very tasty for fans of Resogun, but they're not yet ready to tell us what it is.
A cryptic couple of posts on the company's official Twitter account have gotten us very excited, and they promise something bigger and better than an already spectacular original - but it's not a sequel... confused? The initial post reads:
Imagine RESOGUN, right? Now imagine it so much better than you almost forget how good the original was. That. Is. Coming.
And then, shortly afterwards, when asked when we'd hear more information about Resogun 2 (under the assumption that that's what they'd just teased) the account replied:
There's no Resogun 2
Oh the intrigue!
So what exactly is the studio working on if not Resogun 2? Well, they have suggested in the past that they'd look at DLC for the original game, so perhaps they've got a massive Resogun 1.5 update on the way that'll add in more content, levels, enemy types and all-round awesomeness? Or maybe they're working on a sequel to another game, and they're just using how awesome Resogun was as an example?
Whatever the outcome of the tweets, we can't wait to hear what they've got up their sleeves!
