PC gamers are taking full advantage of Grand Theft Auto V’s video editor. Rockstar is hoping to extend that opportunity to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners.
Rockstar revealed that it is working on a version of the Rockstar Editor for current-gen consoles. The publisher didn’t say how it will be tailored for consoles or if it will come with all the same features that PC players are enjoying.
This doesn’t affect those still playing the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar said that video editing simply isn’t possible on last-gen hardware.
However, all four consoles will get The Lab radio station from the PC version in a future update. So, that’s something for last-gen players to enjoy, at least.
Finally, Rockstar is planning to support all five platforms in the next large update. It made no promises beyond that, so PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players may have to prepare for the day when Grand Theft Auto Online is no longer updated.
