Uncharted 4 has been universally praised, but a negative review of sorts has put a dampener on the game’s Metacritic Metascore.
Naughty Dog’s latest managed to secure an average score of 94 out of 100 based on reviews from 88 critics. But its 89th “review,” from The Washington Post’s Michael Thomsen, was supposedly for comical purposes and gave it a score of 40 out of 100.
Uncharted 4, according to the review, “feels as inevitable as it does unnecessary.” That 40 rating sits alongside a variety of 90s and upwards.
This is being used as the The Washington Post’s official review on Metacritic, even though the real review gave Uncharted 4 a perfect score.
