Rare showed off gameplay for its upcoming pirate adventure Sea of Thieves during Microsoft's E3 briefing.
The developer invited community members to an event where they got to try the game and recorded the whole thing. They were thrown in at the deep end without any instructions and had to get to grips with the game and make their own adventure on their own.
In the video, we see pirates going for a dip, exploring islands, drinking alcohol, and, of course, trying to pillage other ships. One player even gets left behind as a ship's crew see a rival crew approaching their docked boat rapidly.
In Sea of Thieves, players will be able to link up with friends, and set their own rules and goals as they embark on a jaunty adventure.
