United Front's Sleeping Dogs was a thing of rare and entertaining beauty when it released in 2012 - honestly I enjoyed it more than the overblown theatrics of GTA. And its damn sight more fun than Watch Dogs!
Now, anyone who missed it has another chance to hit the streets as the basically superhuman Wei and date Emma Stone (a personal dream of mine) as Sleeping Dogs is heading to next gen. A listing on Amazon has confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One versions are in the works and that they're promising enhanced graphics and a definitive version of the game. That basically means you're going to get all of the DLC bundled.
For 60 quid, its not a bad offer - especially if you haven't played the game before. Quite how good its going to look on the next gen is a little less clear, Sleeping Dogs was never that attractive to begin with. But so long as the punching and kicking and unlikely jumping from one speeding car to another is intact then we're on board.
There's also a pretty meagre collectors edition in the offing. Who actually wants these art books?
The release date of the 31st of December 2014 feels very much like a placeholder and there's no official word from United Front Games right now. More information as we get it.
