is set to officially reveal what it has been up to since wrapping up its work on the Halo franchise, but the social media push has begun. The game, known as Destiny
, now has a Facebook
page, a Twitter
feed, a Google+
account and a forum
dedicated to the game.
Little is known about the game though the first mention of the title came earlier than Bungie would have liked. When details were leaked in November
, Bungie stated that it wasn’t ready to reveal the game, but did release a screenshot. The developer is ready now…In a statement on its website, Bungie said, “In a matter of days, we're going to give you your first glimpse into the vision and ambition that's driving the creation of our brave new world.”
Some fans are speculating that the timing of the announcement indicates that the reveal may coincide with Sony’s event next week. Whether that will be a way of detracting from Sony’s announcement or an indication that Destiny will be an exclusive for Sony or multiplatform is uncertain. However, we will bring you the latest from Bungie’s upcoming project as we hear it.
