Sony launches web-based store
Browse for new games wherever you go.
Sony has quietly launched its online, web-based store for the Sony Entertainment Network, which has games on offer. Different regions have different services, as those based in the U.K. for example can access movies and music as well. The prices appear to be the same as their console-based counterparts, but it’s convenient to be able to check out prices on the go especially with Sony’s 12 Days of Christmas sale.


The store is a clear rival to Microsoft’s Xbox portal, Xbox.com, while Nintendo also plans to make its 3DS and Wii U eShop channels available from the web as well. However, the store does not appear to have launched in North America. We have reached out to Sony and will update you with a reason as to why this is and why the launch has been kept so quiet.
