Sony recaps the PlayStation 3's lifespan
Leading up to its PlayStation Meeting 2013, Sony has released a series of Evolution of PlayStation videos. The third, released today, focuses on the Playstation 3. The video shows the unveiling of the console at E3 2005, and talks about the various specs of the machine. The video also highlights the launch of the PlayStation Network, the roll out of apps, and the PlayStation Plus subscription service.

Evolution of PlayStation: PlayStation 3

The first video in the series, titled The Beginning, looked at the original of the species, while the second focussed on the PlayStation 2. Sony is expected to reveal its next-generation console, the PlayStation 4, at its PlayStation Meeting on February 20th.
