Spelunky player breaks world record in under 2 minutes
We think it’s nigh on impossible to finish Spelunky at all, never mind doing it quickly, but one player has managed to beat the game in under two minutes and broke a world record in doing so.

YouTuber Pibonacci tested his skill and luck with this any% run, which means he just has to get to the credits as fast as possible. He finishes the game in 1:55.353 thanks to the deadly combo of teleporter, jet pack and compass. There are some near escapes and close calls, but it’s an impressive run to say the least.

You can check out the speedrun in the video below if you want to pick up a few tips or tricks. We’re sure that there will be plenty of players who will give it their all in the coming days to usurp Pibonacci, but he can enjoy his time in the sun for now.

We wouldn’t advise watching the videos with headphones in or with the sound up loud. He gets quite animated and vocal towards the end.
