Steam getting first Adult's Only rated game in June

Steam getting first Adult's Only rated game in June

Controversial murder spree game Hatred will be Steam’s first Adult’s Only (AO) rated game when it launches on June 1st.

Steam actually pulled the title from its Greenlight scheme, which lets the community decide some of the new games to be released on Steam. But, after a change of heart and personal involvement from Gabe Newell, the game was reinstated.

Once Hatred was back on Steam Greenlight, it quickly became the most requested game. The controversy and Steam’s initial reaction may have worked in Destructive Creations’ favour.

Hatred can be pre-ordered on the game's official site for €16.66, and pre-orders come with a complementary soundtrack.

Want to see what the big fuss is about Hatred? Check out the trailer below, which is charmingly titled “Human Shields.” Remember, it’s an Adult’s Only game, so expect language and violence aplenty.

Hatred will launch on Steam on June 1st.
