Sylvester Stallone is going to lend his voice to the animated Ratchet & Clank movie. Let’s hope the subtitles are good.
He joins a star-studded cast that includes Paul Giamatti (12 Years A Slave and The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Rhino), John Goodman (Monsters Inc.) and Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Daredevil).
Naturally, Arnold Taylor will voice Ratchet with cohort David Kaye supplying Clank’s voice. Armin Shimerman (Buffy, Star Trek: DS9) will star as Nefarious.
Insomniac Games boss Ted Price could hardly contain his excitement that Ratchet & Clank is heading for the big screen. He said, “Everyone at Insomniac is thrilled that Ratchet & Clank will be shared in cinemas around the world with new and long-time fans alike.”
"It's been particularly exciting to collaborate closely [and] to ensure an authentic Ratchet & Clank intergalactic adventure."
Insomniac Games is currently developing a re-imagination of the series' origin story to coincide with the release of the film. The companion game will be released on PlayStation 4.
Both the film and the game are expected to arrive sometime in 2016.
