System Shock is back, with a total rebuild currently up for funding on Kickstarter.
The team at Night Dive Studios just recently reached their funding goal and celebrated in style by confirming that the newly crafted version of the game will also be coming to the PlayStation 4.
The news was confirmed in an update to the campaign and it all sounds very exciting indeed:
"After we saw the overwhelming demand for PS4, we reshuffled our priorities and focused on talking to Sony about making that happen. After a few weeks and lotttts of emails, we are officially on track for bringing System Shock to the PS4!No stretch goal for it. We’re adding it in as a thank you to our backers that put their faith in us."
Now for 30 quid you can get a digital copy of the game on any of the supported platforms, including PC, Xbox One and PS4. There's still plenty of time to do that and to help get the project up to speed in time for the proposed early 2018 launch. That would also mean some stretch goals, including a bigger story, more languages and a remixed soundtrack.
