Here's some news that's both interesting and potential fantastic - Platinum Games could be working on a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles game!
In case you haven't heard of Platinum, they're the outfit behind action titles like Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and the utter insanity of Vanquish. They're just about the best developers around when it comes to make overwhelmingly complex gameplay that manages to draw you in without being completely overwhelming and we love them for it.
Fresh off the fun times of Transformers Devestation, they've also got major titles like Scalebound and Neir Automata on the way in 2016 but it also sounds like they might be spending some time with those heroes in a half shell.
A rating for a new game has turned up on the Australian Classification Boards website called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turned Mutants in Mahattan. Here's the listing.
It looks like another collaboration between Platinum and Activision, so we should expect a mid tier title similar to their recent Transformers effort. Other than that, there's no more info, apart from some ratings for moderate violence and very mind language - so it sounds like the folks at the Australian Classification Board have already seen at least a little gameplay.
We're all over the idea of a TMNT game with the action Platinum is able to deliver, even if its light on story and is basically just about fighting things. We like fighting things.
Given the small scale of the project, we would expect to see this game in 2016 - more as we get it.
