Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel are getting an upgrade - coming together for a next gen release appropriately titled The Handsome Collection.
It's got fancy graphics, a new four-player couch co-op mode and EVERY PIECE OF DLC EVER. So it's already a pretty good package. But a limited version of the game comes with a collector's steel box, 12 fancy lithograph things and... AN ACTUAL REMOTE CONTROLLED CLAPTRAP!
He moves. He talks. He japes.
This has to be one of the best collectibles ever - the design is perfect (though obviously a bit teeny) and he has a huge range of in character things to say. He's controlled by a smartphone app and even has an actual camera in his eye which can live-stream back to your handset.
In short - he's awesome. Which is why he's completely sold out.
Several outlets have announced that the limited edition (with only 5000 units in existence) sold out in 10 minutes flat from outlets like Amazon. And this despite retailing for 400 bucks.
It's not currently known if 2K has plans to release another batch, or even if there are more copies available anywhere. It's likely some folks will be running competitions closer to release, including 2K themselves so keep an eye on social media.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection comes to PS4 and Xbox One on the 27th of March 2015.
