Shadow of Mordow is leaps and bounds better than I was ever expecting it to be, so much so that it could well be the first game I play to 100 percent completion in many years.
And now the whole proposition is even better, with the release of new free content. We just got anew photo mode, which let you zoom in on nasty killing business like the below and add silly filters.
But wait, there's more! Warner Bros has just confirmed the release of new free DLC which includes additional runes and new player skins. You'll be able to drop into the game while looking like the Black Hand of Sauron - which is probably pretty confusing for the Orcs you're going to be killing. And there are also three new runes as follows:
-One with Nature– Immunity to Poison attacks from Uruk Captains or Ghuls.
- Ascendant– Double Focus Time for slow motion ranged combat.
-Elven Grace– Increased defence which halves the damage of enemy strikes.
That's pretty good stuff for the price of nothing and bodes well for potential future story DLC which might actually have a good amount of content. That could also just be wishful thinking though.
Right now, the free DLC is only available on Xbox One, which suggests it might be a timed exclusive as the release date on PS4 and PC is just billed as 'soon'. More news as we get it.
