The Division becomes latest Ubisoft title to get delayed
The Division will not be released in 2014 as we had all hoped and Ubisoft had previously announced. The game should drop in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

A member of the development team described the announcement of a 2014 release date as “laughable” according to Gamereactor. The site spoke with this team member who revealed that very little has been done in terms of actual game development.

“The game engine works well, it's not done but works well. The actual game development has barely started,” the source said. “The fact that Ubisoft has gone public with a 2014 release date feels laughable to be perfectly honest, we will never be able to release The Division this year. It's a large project, and we have very far to go.”

Ubisoft originally announced that the game would be released late in 2014, though this was before the publisher delayed the high-profile Watch Dogs and The Crew. A spokesperson for Ubisoft refused to comment on speculation, but Ubisoft’s release schedule, which was released last night, still lists The Division as a 2014 game.
