While EA may have the golf market cornered, HB Studios is hoping to carve out a piece for itself. Following the release of The Golf Club in 2014, HB Studios is working on a sequel, which will be out next year.
The developer says that it has been working on The Golf Club 2 since September and promises a wealth of additions, including a richer career mode, tournament presentation for major events, a more in-depth player editor, a practice range, and golf societies, which are a kind of virtual country club where players can meet up and take part in tournaments together.
The Golf Club 2 is being built using the Unity 5 engine, which HB says "means lots of great things for all areas of the game."
The Golf Club 2 will be released in the first quarter of 2017, according to HB Studios.
