The International 2015's Compendium released to fund DotA 2 tournament prize

The International 2015’s starting prize pool was $1.6 million, but fans can contribute to increase that by purchasing the new Compendium. 25% of Compendium sales go towards The International’s overall prize pool. Already, nearly $400,000 has been added to the pot.

Fans who buy a Compendium will also be rewarded. Rewards, including Compendium Coins, Cursor Packs, Emoticons, Treasures, and more, are unlocked as the total prize pool reaches various stretch goals. Some stretch goals have extra bonuses depending on your Compendium level.

Completing challenges, making predictions, and simply following the event will earn you rewards.

The International 2015 will be the largest DotA 2 event of the year. It will take place in KeyArena in Seattle from 3-8 August. There, 16 of the best teams in the world will battle it out over 6 days for a share of what is guaranteed to be a massive prize pool.

Last year, Compendium sales helped drive the total prize pool to more than $10 million. In the end, Newbee took home just over $5 million with 2nd placed Vici Gaming earning almost $1.5 million.
