The Witcher 3 devs promise we ain't seen nothing yet

Everything I hear about The Witcher 3 gets me more excited, and this latest news is no different.

This week we've already heard tell that the game would take you 200 hours to complete everything, which is pretty staggering when you consider the sheer amount of detail in the world, and now the developers have been speaking out about what has been revealed so far. And it seems like there's plenty left to see.

In an interview with dualshockers, game designer Damien Monnier had this to say about the action in the game: "There’s a war in the background. The example that you’ve given, I can’t really tell you anything, but we have some really epic… That word gets thrown around too much, but it truly is epic, it’s jaw-dropping, huge setpieces." That sound amazing, and it's definitely different to the rather isolated battles we've seen so far in the released footage for Wild Hunt.

They also went on to say that we've just seen 'the tip of the iceberg' in terms of content and that there's a huge amount of extra material to discover. And they also wanted to point out that even they won't quite know what to expect from the game until people start playing it: "And you have no idea because we don’t have any idea. There are lots of gameplay systems that are so organic, that will work if you have multiple things happening at once. You know, monsters coming in, and humans joining in, and other things happening. It just works, but I’m never gonna sit down and test this in every single corner of the world. It’s too big."

One thing is clear, its going to be a big mother.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on the 19th of May 2015.
