The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine expansion is out now and it's an absolute triumph - a brilliant new series of quests and a fitting send off for the character of Geralt of Rivia.
It's also very pretty and a much smoother experience overall than the original game when it released in May 2015, but it's still not quite perfect. We've found a few crash bugs and some glitching, and other players have found they can't complete quests due to issues.
Well CD Project RED may be finished creating new content for the game, but that doesn't mean they're going to leave a broken product for their fans. It seems a new patch is already in the works, and will arrive as soon as possible.
Having a team totally dedicated to a single title for so long has been a real boon for fans, ensuring that issues are dealt with quickly and with excellent communication at all times. Real credit has to go to Community fella Marcin Momot who is always there to provide an update and let the players know that they are being listened to.
Huge developers and publishers could learn a lot from the work CDPR has done on The Witcher 3, which has certainly earned them legions of fans who will be coming along for the ride as we wait for news on their next project - Cyberpunk 2077.
