Jonathan Blow's The Witness definitely isn't a game for everyone but that hasn't stopped it from hitting serious sales figures in its first week of release.
The game is on track to sell more copies in its first seven days than Blow's previous game Braid managed in a whole year. Braid released on the Xbox 360 in August 2008 and Blow is back eight years later with his follow up. Here's some more info from Twitter
It's great news for indie developers in general and specifically great for Blow as he will be able to put together a strong budget for his next title. Let's hope it doesn't take him another eight years to get it to market!
