MechWarrior Online is gearing up for a closed beta launch and is inviting players to apply. To give you a taste of what you can expect from a game featuring hulking mechanical machines, two videos have been released recently. The first showcases the Frozen City and explains how environmental elements can affect your machine or how you have to approach battles.

The second is a developer diary with members of the team explaining the approach to the title. The MechWarrior franchise has been MIA for some time now, so the team had to evaluate how to present the title for the current crop of gamers.
