Time to Deliver - Bungie on Destiny

Time to Deliver - Bungie on Destiny
The time for talking is over....

Bungie has claimed that, despite talking a pretty big game over the past year since it officially unveiled Destiny, the studio's first non-Halo title in more than a decade, it's now time to let actions speak louder than words, and deliver on their promise.

The game, scheduled for a release on September 9th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, will also mark the first release in the company's ten-year publishing deal with powerhouse Activision, and both parties haven't been shy about talking the game up so far.

In the most recent Weekly Update post on the official Bungie website, the studio said:

We talked a big game last year. We were so excited to talk about our future. Now, it's time to deliver. It's time to close this out in a way that we will all be proud of. We owe that to ourselves, and to our legacy. But most of all, we owe it to you.

We hope, more than anything, that you love what you see.

With E3 edging its way towards us, Bungie will no doubt be putting on quite a show for Destiny, and the importance of the game simply cannot be understated for the studio itself, publisher Activision and the next gen console market as a whole.

A beta is set to launch this summer, giving players the chance to jump into the action early and help shape the final product, a game that Activision has lofty ambitions for, claiming that it could be the "best-selling new video game IP in history."

Let's see if it can life up to that hype in the coming months!
