We already knew that Titanfall was getting a sequel but now there's a timeline in place.
The bot-tastic title launched on PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in early 2014 to strong reviews and a good reaction from gamers. It wasn't the blockbuster hit EA seemed to be expecting but it remains popular online almost two years later. And fans can expect more of the same when Titanfall 2 arrives by March 2017, and this time it will also appear on PlayStation hardware which should give it a much better chance of success.
The news comes from direct from an EA report on their activity for the fiscal year ahead which also includes DICE's Mirror's Edge Catalyst, EA Sports titles, a new Battlefield game in time for Christmas as well as BioWare's Mass Effect Andromeda. That's a lot of solid stuff to come, with a more hardcore Battlefield definitely something shooter fans will be looking forward to after the fun but basic thrills of Star Wars Battlefront.
Right now though, we're all about Mirror's Edge, which launches in May 2016.
