Titanfall came and went with not much fanfare, and that was partly because it only appeared on Xbox and PC platforms. Thankfully, that's likely to change with the proposed sequel.
EA didn't release sales figures for the first Titanfall game but the general feeling was that while it performed over expectations, it didn't exactly set the gaming world alight. But that hasn't stopped serious plans for a sequel, with new comments suggesting that it might also appear on Sony systems.
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen had this to say at a recent conference in San Francisco:
"Last yearit was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us."
That's not definitive by any means but when you're talking about expanding a release, the PlayStation is the only real way to go. With legions of shooter fans already on the system, it could help to make Titanfall 2 a significantly bigger release.
No word on release date yet, we'll keep you posted.
