After a bit of an absense from the gaming scene, Tony Hawk is set to return later this year in a brand new title that'll be exclusive to mobile devices. Launching on iOS and Android devices, the game is set to be published by long-time series publisher Activision, and is currently in development by UK-based studio Big Bit.
The game, which will be called Tony Hawk's Shred Session, will feature two gameplay modes tailor made for the touch screen interface of mobile devices. Like previous console instalments in the long running series, players can look forward to a series of objective based missions, increasing their character's skills and abilities as they go as part of the game's Shred Sessions Mode. With a focus on racking up as high a score as possible, players will be able to compare their scores with those of their friends and vie for bragging rights.
Also included will be a survival mode, where players will need to execute as big a combo move as they can, increasing theirscore and stringing moves and tricks together without breaking the sequence.
Although no concrete release date has been announced, gamers should be able to look forward to getting their mitts on Shred Session this summer from Google Play and the Apple iTunes App Store.
