Tribes: Ascend released on Steam
Hi-Rez Studios has released its free-to-play, fast-paced, multiplayer shooter Tribes: Ascend on Valve’s Steam store. The title has been available through the dedicated Tribes: Ascend website, and has over one million registered users. The developer believes that this availability through Steam will make the game more prominent and accessible.

Hi-Rez Studios Chief Operating Officer, Todd Harris, announced this partnership by saying, “We’re very excited to partner with Valve and deliver the World’s Fastest Shooter to the world’s largest gaming community.” The updated version of Tribes: Ascend will introduce a new Capture The Flag map called Stonehenge and a new Team Deathmatch map. The team is also dedicated to supporting the competitive community and has implemented a first-person spectator mode.

Tribes: Ascend can be downloaded for free from the game’s website or via Steam.
