Ubisoft Announces Far Cry 4
Game set for November 18th launch...

Ubisoft has just announced that it'll be releasing a brand new installment in its long-running and hugely successful first person shooter series, Far Cry, on November 18th.

Far Cry 4 will launch on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC, and is currently in development by Ubisoft Montreal, with collaborative input coming from Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Kiev and Red Storm Entertainment.

Details are still thin on the ground, but the game will be set in Kyrat, a region of the Himalayas (which confirms previous rumours about the game's setting from earlier in the year), and will follow the same open world structure that made its predecessor, Far Cry 3, such a unique experience.

Announcing the game, Far Cry 4's executive producer Dan Hay said:

Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations.Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.

The game is already available for pre-order, with early buyers being offered a free upgrade to the Limited Edition version o the game, which adds three single-player missions featuring Hurk, from Far Cry 3's downloadable content.

More information will be announced soon on the game's official website over at www.farcrygame.com.
