To be perfectly honest, Far Cry 4 is one of my most anticipated games of the year. It looks like it combines the sheer playability of its direct forebear with the utter madness of the Blood Dragon DLC.
So gameplay is king as far as I'm concerned, and nit picking about resolutions and graphics hold absolutely no interest. And it seems the same is true of director Alex Hutchinson. In a telling Twitter chat, he's been saying that the console versions of the game all look 'great' - which would be enough for me. But he also goes one further when asked about how the Xbox and PS version stack up:
I have to say I'm on Sir Alex's side here - really who cares how perfectly rendered the leafs are or how many nose hairs you can see on either system? So long as performance is smooth and the same gameplay features are included across both versions I shall be a very happy many indeed.
Far Cry 4 is coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC from the 18th of November 2014.
