There’s another Carmageddon game on the way, and if you’ve never played or seen one before, the opening shot of a guy in a wheelchair getting mown down by a racer tells you everything you need to know about the series.
Carmageddon: Max Damage brings the franchise to a whole new level of carnage, mayhem, and violence. But once again, the basic concept involves racing around, smashing into other racers, and running down unsuspecting pedestrians. Sure, you can win by actually racing, but most of the time it’ll come down to whatever racer is left mobile.
The upcoming title features 30 “killing machines,” 10 open environments, a career mode with 6 different event types, multiplayer with 4 online event types, more than 90 powerups, and a fully featured replay mode.
Carmageddon: Max Damage will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.
