Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End sold more than 2.7 million copies worldwide during its first week of release, making it Sony’s fastest selling first-party PS4 game in North America and Europe. That figure includes both physical and digital sales.
While that’s an impressive statistic, it’s not all that surprising. Anticipation has been building for some time – Uncharted 4 was originally scheduled to go on sale last autumn – and it’s been the subject of Sony’s largest ever marketing push.
SCEA marketing manager Asad Qizilbash wrote on PlayStation Blog congratulated Naughty Dog on the achievement. "The success of the game is a testament to the calibre of the team at Naughty Dog and their unwavering commitment to their fans,” he wrote.
