You won’t have to be a thief to get your hands on Uncharted 4’s multiplayer DLC. Lead designer Robert Cogburn took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that it will be free.
All maps and modes released following the game’s launch will be free to all players. Meanwhile all vanity and gameplay items can be unlocked via relics that you earn by playing the game and completing challenges.
Cogburn explained that the team wants to keep the Uncharted 4 multiplayer experience “as fresh as possible for as long as possible.” But it also wants to keep the community unified, so that players are kept together and can experience new content at the same time.
In the blog post, Naughty Dog’s post-launch DLC roadmap was laid out. A range of new content, including a Cinema Replay feature, a new game mode, and a new Mystical will be added in summer 2016. This DLC will be followed by releases in autumn, winter, and spring, as you can see below.
Uncharted 4 will launch on May 10, 2016 with a number of multiplayer modes, including Ranked Team Deathmatch, Command, Team Deathmatch, Plunder, Trials, and a Warm Up Playlist.
